Home boarding · weekends included
Dog boarding at my home in Elkton
When you go on vacation and can't take your dog, they stay at my house with my own dogs. $35 per day per dog, all inclusive.
A house, not a run
When you go on vacation and your dog cannot come along, boarding at my home in Elkton keeps them in a house instead of a facility. It is $35 per day per dog, all inclusive, and it covers the weekend too, because daycare closes Saturday and Sunday except for boarding. Your dog gets a couch, a bed and company, and you get a phone number that gets answered: 443-406-6694.
Reyny, whose dog Murphy stays with me, says it better than I can. The owner Preddy “creates a comfortable second home environment for your pooch,” and Healthy Pooches “routinely serves as Murphy’s home away from home.” That is exactly what I want a stay to feel like. A dog who already knows the couch and the smells on the second visit settles faster than one meeting a new place from scratch.
Liz Malin wrote that I “did overnight care for us for over a year,” and Caryn Lawton said I “treated my pets like they were her own.” Those two lines are the standard I hold myself to when your dog is sleeping under my roof and you are somewhere else.

What all inclusive means, and living with my dogs
All inclusive means the $35 is the price of the day. It is per dog, so two dogs from one family are $70 a day, and nothing gets added on top of the daily rate. I would rather quote you one number you can plan around than a base price with extras stacked behind it.
I do have my own dogs, and you should know that before you book. Your dog is joining a household, not renting an empty room. Dogs read each other fast: a few sniffs, a loose body, a play bow, or a stiff stare and a step back. Meeting my dogs for the first time with you standing in the room is far easier on everybody than meeting them on the first night of a long trip, which is why the Meet and Greet comes first.
At the Meet and Greet, tell me the routine. When your dog eats, when they need to go out, what makes them nervous, what makes them happy. Dogs settle into a new house on the small, familiar things, and I would like to have them right before you leave, not guess at them afterward.
Booking it right: notice, vaccines and closures
I need a month in advance notice for boarding, so call me at 443-406-6694 as soon as your dates are set. Holidays book early, and I am closed on a short list of them, which you will find in the panel below. Plan your drop-off and pick-up around those days. If something does not line up, call and ask. I will be willing to work something out when I can.
I need all dogs up to date with shots, tags, Heart guard, and flea and tick prevention, and they must be spayed or neutered. The required vaccines are DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies and Lepto, and I need updated shot records from your vet before the first stay. Dogs that are not up to date will be declined daycare and boarding. That rule keeps every dog in the house safe, mine included.
I take Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover. Late payments carry a $20 charge per day, and there are no refunds. I would rather you read that here than find out at pick-up. Everything else about a stay we sort out together at the Meet and Greet.
